In The495's longest episode ever, WFAN morning show host and Bellport native Gregg Giannotti stops by GreaterLongIsland studios to have an hilarious conversation about Long Island, his recent professional feud, and impersonations, all while making fun of hosts Mike and Nick.

 

The Greater Long Island team relaunches its 495 Podcast. In this episode, get to know your new co-hosts Michael White and Nicholas Esposito. The goal of the show is to entertain and showcase interesting people from across the island.

We're with Vinny Messana of Lake Ronkonkoma, who started a popular sports news website called Axcess Baseball, which covers the collegiate and amateur baseball scene across Long Island. He's also a scout for the San Diego Padres and a former bartender at Lombardi's on the Bay.

Most kids dream of performing on stage. Farmingville native Michele Rizzo-Berg forever wanted to run her own music venue. She's been doing just that for over a decade in Bay Shore at the Boulton Center, as well as other venues on L.I. Listen to her reminisce with hosts Mike and Tom.

Mike and Tom sit with father and son team, Mark and Dylan Perlman, who bet the house on their dream of bringing a Broadway-caliber experience to Babylon, N.Y., where they have completely tranformed a vacated triplex on Main St. into what is becoming a renowned performing arts center.  

The495 sits with Long Island native and longtime NYC photojournalist Andrew Theodorakis. The former Daily News staffer talks about his time on the streets of New York and most of America's more historic moments over the past 20 years. He also gets into the rap game and the two upcoming documentaries he's working on.

Today John Murray talks with hosts Tom and Mike about his foray into fudge with his two Kilwins locations on Long Island, in Babylon and Patchogue, and what it was like growing up in his father's landmark bar; Mulcahy's in Wantaugh. Murray is also embarking on a new food venture called The Hero Joint. You'll hear about that and more.

There's no guest in this installment of The495 Podcast so get to know your co-hosts, Tom Wunk and Michael White. Tom is the founder of The Float Place, with locations in Deer Park and Patchogue, and Mike is the founder and editorial director of the Greater Long Island websites.

Coco Teodoro is a self-taught yoga instructor who had gained a huge following on Long Island's North Shore before friends and clients pushed him into creating his own business called Cocomotion. He combines intense workout with the spiritual components of yoga and seeks to help people maintain physical and mental balance in their lives. Oh, and he despises hot yoga. Cocomotion has locations in Miller Place, Patchogue and East Setauket.

The Patchogue Chamber of Commerce president James Skidmore has spent decades in hospitality. Here he touches frankly on his experiences as a bartender and offers insights into alcohol addiction. Skidmore is a Patchogue native and the current chairperson of the Alive After Five organizing committee, a role he's served in for several years as AA5 has shattered attendance records.
